“Breathing isn’t something you do. It’s something you witness as it happens.” –Eckhart Tolle

“God is not a being. God is the ground of being.” –Paul Tillich

“If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” –African Proverb
You never run alone. Even if you run by yourself, you are not alone. Running connects you with every other runner, a great cloud of witnesses, a community bound by dedication and direction rather than pace.
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” –Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
It’s not always easy. But that’s how you grow. The challenge fuels our formation, learning as much, if not more, from our failure as our success.
“All the way to heaven is heaven.” –Catherine of Sienna
A common mistake with running and faith is to think they are all about the finish line. Rather than where you’re going, running and faith are an invitation to be where you are. They’re about the journey more than the destination.
